There are some very attractive 400 dollar watches and some bloody ugly 250K watches. Money and good taste don't always go hand in hand.

Anyway I like it.

was not published yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it's just under 20k regarding the customized Daytona going for close to 50...

Sounds about right. Can't buy taste but it is subjective… i like it. at least you don;t have to wonder if it has a service dial and hands.

Yikes not a fan of this one. There's a reason Rolex doesn't do open-worked, or sapphire case back for that matter. The movements aren't attractive.

Not big on it either... I think it's hard to do openworked/skeletons in a good way as usually you end up looking at your own hairy arm. The JLC DuoMetre is a good example of a well done partial skeletonization IMO.

This is the first modded rolex I like. No carbon fiber, no dlc, no cheap looking aftermarket dial or poorly painted accents, I like it.

Probably in the minority here but IMO, open worked watches should be left to haute horology brands with complicated or hand finished movements. Rolexes, particularly the steel sports models, are classic, well-built utilitarian watches and customized pieces such as these kinda take away the brand’s DNA. It’s kinda like pimping out (or heavily modifying beyond recognition) a perfectly good Mercedes or Porsche.
