What do you think of the Speedmaster Reduced?

Is it worth buying?

I am interested in the Reduced, as it is automatic and smaller.
Winding up the Speedmaster Moonwatch and my small wrist makes me look at the Reduced.

What do you think of the Speedmaster Reduced?

Clearly a market for it. I’m not in that market.

You say you have a small wrist, then yes, they are a great watch and reasonably priced.

I once tried one on, it was to small for my large wrist.

A great watch for a small wrist, although the Speedy pro wears small IMO. There’s some some great YouTube vids where you can see it on other peoples wrists which may help you get a better idea.

I have 7.5 inch wrists and found it waaaay too small. Sold it quickly after purchase.

It seems that Reduced is not very popular here.

It definitely has a smaller market, still a great watch though. As I already mentioned, there’s TONS of YouTube videos where you can get a better idea of the size and specs (compared to Pro) and people praise it.
I think most would recommend the marui edition if you settle on a reduced.

I had one and I liked it however i continually had a problem with the power reserve. Got it serviced by Omega and it did improve the situation but still wasn’t great.
I have a 6.75 inch wrist so proportions were fine. I liked the bracelet as well. Had a whiff of a Presidents bracelet.
Traded mine in for a speedmaster pro a few years ago. Funnily enough I do find myself looking again at the smaller versions so I may buy one back at some point.

First watch i ever bought, nice watch that is. It was a really long time ago, i remember that i thought i was getting a screaming deal on a speed master. It came in and i just stared at it, like what the hell did i buy . I returned it, wasn’t for me. Too small and didn’t feel like a speed master.

It’s for either for small wrist individuals (below 6.5 inch) or Asian market.

The Speedy Reduced is popular. On a Forum many will not post or even say they own something if they think that the other guys will think adversely towards them.

If you are wearing one, almost nobody will be able to tell that it is one or the other if they are not side by side.

You are right, they are very similar at first glance, but as I said I like the Reduced because it is 39mm for my small wrist and because it is automatic. I can't see myself winding it manually on a regular basis.

Thanks.

+1 Reduced is a great watch, period. Really wonderful proportions and thin. On a slender wrist the Speedy Reduced is really hard to beat.

I had one years ago and loved it. I have a 6.75 wrist so the size was perfect.

Got mine since 2009. Love it. Passed it on to my better half since getting the moonwatch.

Very cool watch. Too small for my wrist but there is a market for it.

I recently purchased the 38mm blue dial version and live it. Nice bracelet too.

Despite my attraction to 38mm and under (for most watches), I felt the Speedmaster reduced wore very small. Too small.

I have that exact Speedmaster Reduced. It's a great watch, especially if you have thinner wrists. With that said I also have the Speedy Pro 3861 and I would suggest that you try it on, if you haven't already. You may be surprised how well it fits smaller wrists.

I think it’s a cute watch. But then again, I also love the MoonSwatch - I’m an equal opportunity watch lover :)

Is there a size difference from the discontinued Reduced to the current 38?

Servicing is expensive, so consider while making the purchase.

I have a reduced and I've tried on a current 38, the older 3510 is much thinner. Feels more proportionate, like a shrunken Speedy pro.

That watch is on my "wish list". It's great for a smaller wrist and there is a market for it if you have boxes and papers. I noticed naked watches have significantly less demand.

38mm in blue, sounds great, haven’t seen one, didn’t know there’s a smaller version. Does the dial seem crowded? What size is a standard Speedmaster?
