It is but one aspect of my concerns with this watch, but it is certainly a combination that I have never seen on a correct watch so far.

Good shout on that watch, hope the buyer knows what they are doing - but I suspect not.....
Ps as I've had a lot to do with C24/Xupes etc in the last 3 yrs....I have a fast line into Tim's team if anything 'private seller' is dodgy!
The last 8 I reported/advised them of in Dec/Jan, were taken down in 24 hrs. Don't inundate me pls, but happy to ping them one for removal if you let me know it's 100% fake/misrepresented.

I alerted Chrono24 and (after some pushing) they responded that they had advised the buyer to have a watch-maker authenticate the watch.

That is crazy.

How many watch-makers in the world would authenticate a 5513 that had been doctored to look like a 5517, because the case and movement were made by Rolex? In most instances, that would be like asking a decorator to authenticate a fine artwork and him "authenticating" it because it has indeed been painted!

A watch-maker is a very skilled person and all credit to them, but most have no ability to determine what parts other than the movement are correct or not on a vintage watch.

Yes, that's no answer on a watch with clearly at least a brace of issues....should have been taken down, (especially) at the sort of money we are talking about !! I've book marked it for discussion !

Have to agree. As much as respect a very good watchmaker, these minute dial, case, hands etc variations and nuances are not something most are well versed in.

The top one looks very crudely engraved and would give me pause jut because of that. But again, I know nothing about these references.
