Half marathon

I completed my first half marathon on Sunday

I got talked into doing it just after Xmas, so only had 5 weeks to train for it. I haven’t done anything competitive since I stopped boxing, and have to say, I haven’t had a sense of accomplishment like it in a long time.

It wasn’t the best time by any stretch of the imagination, 2hrs 20, but with only 5 weeks of training, and struggling to do 5km when I started, I’m proud of myself. 50mph wind and rain on the day didn’t help!

I have just signed up for another one on the 5th of April, I’m hoping to get around in a better time!

I also managed to raise nearly £4,000 for a local children’s hospice local to me!
