Do either of the model is being discussed in gold hold their value better than the other . I've been trying to find a gold watch that wouldn't lose value or as much anyway thank you

My general rule has been: no precious metal for my watches.

But I've made three exceptions for Rolex plus one general exception.

First, a TT DJ which I got for my 30th birthday. To me, this is the quintessential Rolex.

Second, a WG SubC which I got for my 40th birthday. I've always wanted this one and am partial to blue.

Third, a YG DD President which I plan to get for my 50th birthday (when hopefully I would also be president of something).

My general exception is I also want to own something in platinum later in my life (maybe a Rolex, an ALS or a PP).

But for the topic at hand, even if one of my goal watches is the DD, at this point in my life, I would go for the SS Daytona (especially the Black Dial Ceramic).

No, the in house 4130 is better. Rolex improve, they don't go back over.

The dd41 in yellow gold makes a BIG statement. Love the watch however for me it’s not an everyday watch. My next watch is a white gold or SS Daytona.
The dial on the WG Daytona is gorgeous. I’ll make my decision after March watch show. I’m fortunate enough to have several. I enjoy them all.

Which Roles is the hardest to get right now?
I would go with the Daytona but that is my personal choice. There isn't really any scarcity of P/M Models unlike the S/S Sports Models

Long-time lurker ... my vote is for the President (although I must admit that TimeOnHand's Daytona looks superb).

Really, buy whatever speaks loudest to you. I wear my Everose DD with Brown/Sticks as a daily wearer. I think the dial with the lume gives it a sportier look over Romans. That said, today the line between dress/sport watches is easily blurred. You can wear either with ripped jeans or a suit and it will look appropriate. James Bond used to wear his Sub with a tux. If you try them on at the same time, your decision should be pretty easy.

I love the white dial! Such a nice touch that a lot of people don't go for. I agree with you here.
