Authentic Datejust Diamond Dial or ?
Hi All! I appreciate the knowledge on the forum and on the question to find a watch for my wife I've found another watch that fits the bill. Dealer assures me it's an authentic rolex factory diamond dial. Comes with box and papers but you never know! Thoughts?
Sorry for the so-so pics and Thank you! |

Need far better close up photos to tell anything.
These are impossible to authenticate with adam

Impossible to tell with those pics.
If the box is the correct one for this watch I'd say it's at best an aftermarket dial. What year is the watch? |

Thanks guys. I haven't been able to get in to the store to take better photos.
Based on the serial number I believe it's a 2002? |

Hands are correct as well for a factory diamond dial.

It's aftermarket dial at best as already stated. Basically meaning it could be original rolex dial to begin with but refinished and diamonds added NOT by rolex. Pictures are bad but it's not factory diamond dial.

I have seen someone selling a "custom" deepsea sea dweller D-blue which is a black DSSD with an aftermarket D-blue dial. Is that dial considered a "fake" since no part of it is made by Rolex. Unless someone paint a black dial half blue.. |
