I'm in love! Hennessey Raptor 2014 (Car content)
Hi all,
Anyone know Hennessey products? I think is my dream family car. You can go anywhere with it, comfortable, powerful and you can load whatever you want!! I own two 4wd but in Europe is not the same measures than in US. I would like something bigger, like this!! Hahaha Have a nice day!! "If you're not having fun you're doing something wrong". WOW. That is an animal for sure.
Not for me. But I see the reason you like it.

Yeah the Hennessy raptor is really cool.
But don't they have that chassis bending problem as well? I believe the '14 regular raptors had that. Also, the regular raptor costs €94k here, and the gas and taxes ain't cheap either Not fun to own in Europe. |

lol. I agree. 39 months is an eternity.
But even if I were to make a swap, it would not be to that Raptor. Another more traditional Raptor sure. But not that one. And I definitely do not want to hijack the thread, but no joke, I think my RRS is the most beautiful vehicle ever made. I am actually starting to think I will make it to the 39 months. I know how that must sound. I do. But still....

The other option is the Ford Excursion. Here in Ibiza you can see a lot of US pick ups like Ford, Dodge, Chevy... And yes! They eat a lot but I don't use the car very often, worth the power and the comfort in my case. Cheers. "If you're not having fun you're doing something wrong". Groucho Marx. |

That looks like an armored tank, should go just about anywhere with plenty of room for the family.

Awesome ride, but overkill for me. I drove a new Raptor truck and was super impressed. Just not much of a truck guy.

What a monster!
At the end of the day it's a truck with all truck's specific, a nice ride for certain purposes and not the prudent option for everyday road surfing (or suffering?) at least in Europe. Traffic and parking in large cities will turn to a nightmare and 1,3 eur per liter of petrol will burn a hole in the pocket of owner. Quote:

The partial list of current exceptions to what I would rather on a trail aside from a locked up RR is a tacoma/4runner TRD Pro, g550, maybe a powerwagon (but I'm not sure, I wouldn't love it for rock crawling and tight trails), and jeep wrangler rubicon. Check out my website or book for my reasoning and experience: http://offroadrover.com and https://www.amazon.com/Cliffs-Unoffi.../dp/B01MFDOQ7H The RR is designed to run 45 degrees forward back and sideways and can wade something like 3 feet officially in stock form, the connected air axles operate like a solid axle as well, you push up on one side and it pushes down on the other. The hennessey is pretty cool though. The raptor is probably better than a RR/RRS for going fast over dirt roads though due to stiffer springs and shocks but that results in less RTI, the X/angles are likely more difficult for tight trails and the weight balance would likely not be for me either, its just not a rock crawler/mountain trail runner imho. Someone did a video comparison of a basically stock RRS vs 14 style raptor and as much as the host didn't want to admit it the RRS outshined the Raptor up offroad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5EXXFIYgjQ |

Congrats to him unfortunately plenty out there without the markup. They are kind of like BLNRs at this point.
