Explorer II 16570 refinished dial?

Hi, hopefully this is the right section for this.

A couple of questions on this dial. The watch is a 1993, S serial, so the dial is not original as it would have been a tritium dial originally so at the very least has a service dial. However, when the light catches it a certain way it looks textured - is this correct for this model? The rest of the time it looks like the second image. Thanks!

I had a water damaged Explorer years ago. Similar dial look.

I think you may be onto something there. Water damaged and then partially refinished. Apparently a 'swiss made' rail dial 16570 doesn't exist.

Looks like I'll have to take it back sadly.
