Any Patek experts out there. Got a question about the 2428...I see lots of dealers refer to it as the Calatrava style...Is it? Is it the only watch designed by Calatrava? Or am I completely confused?
ANy help appreciated..!

I'm not an expert but after a quick search the watch seems to be from the Calatrava's collection indeed (it looks like one anyway). As for being the only one, perhaps I'm much more ignorant than I thought but the Calatrava collection of Patek Philippe contains much more models than this one. You can actually see all the current models on their website (it's their dress watches line).

If I'm completely off track please tell me, I'm getting to think I misunderstood the question.

there are many different variations of the calatrava and I believe yours is an older calatrava style

That's an early 50s style Calatrava. 32mm case, 18 jewels manual movement. Make sure to get the Archive Extract on the watch.

Yes just so you know what the archive extract is, it is a set of papers identifying your watch and the history of it. you can request these papers about 4 years after the patek is originally purchased
