This also has me concerned, I have lusted after a Model S for a couple years but here more and more how bad an experience it is. Have you checked out the new Lucid? VERY expensive but also a hell of an EV!

There is zero mustang in this car. They used the name thinking it would help them sell cars. It is ugly as hell and nothing like a mustang.

I suspect it’s in keeping with their abandoning manufacturing of all cars except the Mustang. They’d have done better to make more stylized desirable cars instead of going along their attempt to continue to market Model T styling in the 21st century. |

I hope Chevy doesn't use the Corvette name when they release their EV sports car. I would love for the Corvette name to remain synonymous with the sound of a loud engine, and for a new name badge to carve out its own identity in the years ahead. That probably won't happen with all the rumors of a hybrid being used in one/more of their high-performance models of the C8, but it's my wish.
I think the Mach-E could be a great car, I just wish they didn't use the Mustang badge. |

As someone who never liked Mustangs since the day they left the corral in 1964, I feel the pain of the people who do, when something like this comes out and is obviously more of a nag.
BUT as people are saying, electric in some form is the future and for now, a decent option as a commuter car. That will change but I don't really see electric as a one family car option for maybe 10 years until battery life and infrastructure is improved, unless you never leave town. Some of these early electrics will end up in museums as WWWT. (what were we thinking).
