Watch winds in date position...normal?

Just received my DD, 16013, 8.5 mil serial. I can wind it in the quickset position (clockwise) and set the date in the same click position (couter clockwise). That dosen't seem right. When I first unscrew the crown (no click) it winds only, which makes sense. Also, when changing the date, there is about 1 and a half turns, or what I call slop, until the date changes. Is that normal? One more thing. The date can only be adjusted in descending order, yes?

Well, looks like I'll be sending this thing back. It'll only run for 15 seconds then stop. I did wind it 40 or so turns.

It will normally do that on the 3035 model the fact that it stopped well that's another issue. Rik

Yes, I meant DJ, not Day Date, sorry wishful thinking on my part I guess. Oh well, at least I bought from a "reputable dealer" on eBay, so I'm not too worried about getting taken, but if I do I'll out him on here. I also noticed that the stem wobbles a bit when I wind it.

The stem wobble is probably not an issue as I notice most of mine wobble a bit when the stem is pulled out.
It could be that your stem is not lining up correctly with the internal gears again probably not serious but the 'stopping' bit is a problem.
