Sydney GTG - October

It's been a while since we had a Sydney gtg and we have to have one before Rob gets here in January.

How are people placed for the following dates?

Fri 1, 15 or 22 October
Sat 2, 16 or 23 October

Most popular date wins.

We can go to the usual haunt (Nick's seafood at cockle bay wharf) or we can try something new, say Kingsleys at Woolloomooloo or Tilbury hotel.

Cheers
Milan

Hi Milan and Peter

I'm in Melbourne for the long weekend (from the 1st - 4th) to pick up my grail (crossed fingers, if all goes to plan!!!)

If you have it after that, I can bring new piece along for a show-and-tell... it's first public outing... like a debutante!!!

Otherwise, I'm good anytime.

Ooooohhh, I can't tell you that Peter, that would spoil the surprise!

Plus, I'm still not 100% sure it's happening yet, so I don't want to jinx it!

January 11th? That's my BIRTHDAY!!!

I'm hitting the half-way mark 50!!! YIKES

I won't be here for that GTG
Wife has organised a big holiday to the USA as a birthday present to me
New York for a couple of weeks, then fly across to San Fran, hire a car and spend a couple of weeks cruising up/down the coast!

So.... I will miss the Sydney January GTG, but maybe if timing is right, I'll luck-on to a USA one and get to meet some of our USA buddies?

Hi Rob

yes, all booked

Arrive NY 17 Dec 2009
Arrive SF 27 Dec 2009 (grab hire car - cruise up/down the coast)
Depart LA 12 Jan 2010

Some accomodation already booked, a 1,000 sq/ft apartment in Chelsea, a fantastic apartment in LA, but not much organised in between yet... wife keeps nagging me to read the guide books and tell her where I want to go, what I want to do should I just give her the addresses of a couple of Rolex AD's

Excellent!!!. Now I'm assuming those dates are '10 & '11....

So thats Xmas in NY......That will be great!!! Should even have snow then...Make sure to pack warm!!

If your back by the 12th of Jan,could still make it for a well scheduled GTG as I'm there(Sydney) until the 30th although looking to hook up with Dalip in Perth between the 15th and 22nd of Jan....Let's see what happens further down the track!!
But have a great time in the US of A!

PS:If you value your life,no AD quotes to the wife....

Don't worry John if 40 the new 30 then that makes me 35 and you 40. It's all good. If I'm not OS the 15th, I'll be there. Any of the fine establishments mentioned would be good.

OK, I'm in... 15th October it is!

PS. don't get too excited about my "surprise"... it's exciting to me, but I'm sure most of you have bought so many new watches over the years, you have become immune to the excitement of a getting another. To you it will be about as exciting as putting on a pair of socks

Hey, WTF? I just bumped up the speed of the animated GIF (to redline!) but TRF server seems to have some kind of speed limit and throttles it back to the same old slow speed...
