Starting them young...

I laugh when I see posts stating, up and coming generations won’t find value in mechanical watches or Rolex.

I most definitely feel that future generations will aspire to own them....

This thread made me think of this.

https://youtu.be/UMSg0AK3kks

When I saw this for the first time I just thought it was really vulgar.

He goes on like he’s the first parent in the world to want the best for their child.

Classless. But that’s how many people are these days, especially those who are obsessed with social media, not to mention the whole hip-hop genre.

Lavish upbringing is fine. It’s all relative, isn’t it?

However, buying that kid in the video that watch, as someone else pointed out here, is about his own ego.

Why ask the store attendant how much it is on film? Why even film it in the first place and post it? Because that’s what loads of people do these days.

Seeking validation and acceptance.

Desperadoes.

That image will divide opinions! My 3 year old loves my slightly less whizzy mechanical watches.

I see the self righteous 100% upright model citizens of earth rising up to hold court and pass judgement.
If the guy is a bum in the streets begging that's..
If the guy goes to enjoy a basketball game from his legally earned money and buys his kid whatever he damn well wants, that's also

I see a man being a father taking care of his kid sharing two things he likes, basketball and watches.
Some of you need to recheck yourselves, bet I could judge the crap out your lives if it were public.

You’re criticising others for generalising, yet you’re doing just that yourself??

Why take the offence that you’re taking? Are you personally aquatinted with the guy in the image?

It’s a forum, and people will express their opinions. But of course, you will know that, based on your post count.

I didn’t pass judgement on this guy in the photo. I don’t know who he is. I even agreed with someone else saying that one should raise a child in a lavish way if they have the means.

I did however pass judgement on DJ Khaled in the video I posted, based on how he came across and what he was saying. I disagree with that and I stand by that.

Again, how is that worse. He says in the video, this is what I work hard for, "my son"...he loves him and wants to make sure he gets the best. Who are you to judge.
We all want more for our children. Maybe it's excessive but I could think of a lot worse things a father could be doing or worse, not doing.
You think the Hiltons or the children of some of these royal families and super rich are any different. Have you seen the reality shows on rich kids of Beverly Hills, those aren't rappers kids.

Get over yourself. I wish I could buy my kids a diamond pm Rolex, pay cash to put them through college and buy them all their own M3 to take to school....why, because their my kids and I love them and want the best for them. The best!!
Now if the kid grows up to be a spoiled brat, that is something else...that is called parenting not buying watches....

Not really, I'm calling what I see. That is my opinion, it's obvious you're piggy backing on other posters. I disagree with your assessment.
And please, let's not try to use the offended card. I don't care about DJ Khalid or 2Chainz...but I can respect a man who fathers children, makes a living and takes care of his children.
Offended... lolss

Get over myself?

Read my post again. I feel it’s about self validation, not the child. I don’t have an issue with spending extravagantly on offspring. I would just act with a little more decorum.

Why are you making a comparison to the royals, or the Hilton’s? Ahhhhh the race thing, right?

For your info, hero, I think the Hilton’s are equally as gaudy.

I'm fully "decorumed" and always over myself, thanks you. Now after the offended card you pull out the race card, you're all over the place. We have two races in discussion, so which race am I using. Please...
I've said my two cents. You want to judge and post videos, go ahead..
I will comment on said post and also go ahead, just making sure I stay away from certain judgmental types...
They see something negative while I see something positive.

You’re clearly on a rant here.

I didnt, say you didn’t have any decorum. I didn’t, say you needed to get over yourself.

I did, make reference to the race thing. So did you, you just didn’t call it outright. But you know that.

Let’s agree to disagree on this one, hero.
