i have no idea as ive never had this issue, but that doesnt sound right.

Your watch has a WR rating and it has a warranty. If your watch floods in the pool then its a manufacturing defect, provided you were not using in in a way you shouldn't be. Or am I missing something?

It's something I have thought about but will probably not do. I have my BLNR for travel which I don't need to worry about for knocks etc and I would feel more comfortable in the pool with the 5167.

I love both watches...purely personal choice. If you don’t travel much or already have a gmt, stick with the ‘67

I recently upgraded from a 67 to a 64 and I personally am very happy w the transition. FYI the 67 is slightly thicker on the wrist

I wonder how you knew I was considering that

Hehe.

Yes, it is a beauty. For me though, the aquanaut 5164 and nautilus 5726 can live together. In fact, I kinda consider the 5726 my grail.

Also, its a ~ 14k upgrade to the 5164 vs a 30k upgrade.

Was it hard for you? Picking black or white? I'm on the fence about that also.

I've found that I have a lot of respect for the additional complications of the, 5164, 5712, 5990, 5726...etc. The skeleton hand and the simplicity of the GMT function on the 5164 is one of the best i've ever seen. However I personally prefer the look of a clean time only/date dial. The 5167 is wonderful to wear, and my personal choice.

Totally agreed as I did the same thing, I changed from 5164 to 5167 and no regret with this decision. I find the pointer date on 5164 is very difficult to read the date. Prefer the date window on 5167 and also the slimmer case.

"Upgrading" from 5167A to 5164A

There is nothing greatly horologically astounding about a GMT function.
I'm not a big fan of skeleton hands.
If you need a GMT function you can get that on a Rolex be it SS or PM.
What if you keep the 5167 and get the new SS/RG GMT with the updated brand new movement...now that would be totally cool!

Each to their own.

Agreed. The cleaner look of 5167 is big plus.

Owners of 5164, would you prefer the inside of the date dial at 6 o'clock to be filled with a moonphase complication? Or do you prefer it as it is?

5167 for me.

The 5164 is too large for me and I like the 5167 dial too much to have complications and sundials on it. If it were up to me, I’d get ride of the date function on the 5167.

5164 as i feel a watch on bracelet should be funky-ish. 5167, although an amazing reference, looks better on its SS bracelet in my opinion.

I prefer the 5167 because of the size and the fact it is easy to set. The date wheel on the 5164 would be a headache to me (unless its your only watch). I go back and forth between the two. Could go the other way next week.

This is the questions I've been trying to answer! From pictures alone, 5164, but I just received the 5167 and it looks amazing in person, so I really need to see the 5164 in person and on the wrist to decide.

So here's what I'm thinking.

1. Wait for the 5164 from PP AD for next year.

2. Use the 'upgrade budget' that I already have and get a Overseas 4500V that I've been eyeing for a while.

The only option to upgrade now is to pay over list, like 20k+

I too debated for a while if I should upgrade my 67 for a 64. I pulled the trigger and couldn’t be happier. It’s my favorite watch.

I’d take a moonphase for sure. It would look nice against the dial. I only wish Patek paid some attention to detail on their mp which don’t stand up to the mp from Lange or AP.

I'd probably wait for one at an AD but only if I knew the watch was def coming to me, as the grey prices for the 64 are so hot now that these may not be easy to get anymore unless you really trust your AD's word.
