UK prices are still cheap for foreign buyers assuming they can get the VAT refund and can get access to one.

without a VAT refund its still cheaper when you add US sales tax. 5711 is around $900 cheaper in the UK if you pay in dollars.... i pay in USD, but dont get a refund so im still a bit ahead of US based buyers.

for a RO id agree (15202 in particular). For a VC still not there. In the UK, a 5711 is £22800 and a VC overseas is £18700. Assuming both can be found at retail, the VC isnt a better buy. Love the watch, but its a lot of money for a depreciating asset.

The VC pricing is the only reason i haven't taken the plunge. I need to be 100% sure its a keeper first.

There are some AD that sell the VC Overseas at 20 to 25% discount. I think with the 2 additional straps, it is a very attractive proposition.

yeah, not in london.

Its one of my favorite watches. Both the chrono and the regular 3 hand and date version. Ive been going back and forth for a year, i just know minus my Pateks, i dont have a good track record keeping watches.

Id consider buying at the airport for sure.

I just have an issue with the fact that it doesnt become attractive without a 20-25% discount. I have no issue buying a Patek at retail and i hate haggling. I want to feel like im getting a good deal, but not that the deal/discount is an essential factor in the buying decision to hedge against depreciation.

Same here, VC pricing policy in UK is crazy, no discounts and large depreciation, and I prefer the 2 gen VCO anyway.

15202 prices are on the rise tho.

before Thursday they were effectively the same price. Before September 1st the Patek was less, that is nuts. seriously
