I love battered old leather straps but I fear you need a batterd old sub to match it up to.
I have put a few leather straps on my sub and have always been unsure if they look good or not. Also I have always felt that panerai straps are far too bulky looking. Here is my attempt..... |

I wonder why most people don't like rolex with leather strap. To me they still look beautiful.

It's a Heroic 18 strap...you can find some Panerai straps @ the Panerai Sub Section here.
Lugholes are perfect for strap changing! Count me in as a Lughole Loyalist.

Thanks, hunz!
The black buffalo was found at IWW. Very nice quality and very inexpensive. It's thin enough to use w/ an SEL case. The blue suede on the snowflake was found on ebay and although thicker it works as well because the non SEL cases have a bit more space between the lug holes and case. dP

Do "SEL" cases refer to the 4 visible "lug" holes on the ends where the strap attaches? I'm still a little confused about this term and what it relates to.
Perhaps I can see an example of a SEL and a non-SEL case? EDIT: Nevermind. I found an example: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=17075 |

but doesn't seem to list any straps. perhaps they stopped making/selling them? my 14060M has non-SEL but still only 1.5mm gap so still pretty tight. how thick is you buffalo strap btw? |
