First time post, Watch ID

Hello,
This is my first post please forgive me if its in the wrong place. My name is Jim and I'd love some help. Yesterday I purchased a 5500 "Air-King?" but the dial is odd. The lugs give a 1962 "5500" the case back matches 62 and 5500, the movement is a butterfly 1530 but the dial does not say air-king in fact it just reads "Rolex Oyster Perpetual" no "Swiss" I thought it could be a re-dial but i'm unsure as its not gone "explorer" and the dial it has would be an odd replacement. I heard that in the 60s Rolex would do some strange things or maybe the dial was cleaned and lost some decal? any thoughts would be wonderful. Please ignore the bracelet in the images its not correct and sorry if the picture isn't perfect. Either way I like the simplicity of the watch but would love some info from the forum as its been a great resource for a long time.

Thanks so much and apologies if i've missed forum rules or done anything wrong.

Jim

hi Jim, looks like someones 'Whitewashed " the dial...its deffo been refinish including the batons by the look of it, additionally the graphics look to have been re-applied by not the steadiest hand.

Hi, Thanks for the info, strange that the painter missed out "air-king" when refinishing the graphics maybe they thought it was a 10xx OP or something else? Anyway thank you for the kind welcome and the support.
