It was a little harsh. Didn’t mean to be rude. But it’s kinda true. Don’t buy your sales associates stuff. Generally it’s against their policies and Rolex policies if there’s any chance the bribes are working. And when they don’t work, which is probably always, it’s just corny. Buy the chocolates and champagne for your significant other and just be a normal person with your AD’s.

While I agree it’s lame to suck up to people you have to give thousands of $$$ to, I would love to see those famous Rolex policies.

How do they even determine who to sell to? It’s pretty obvious Rolex doesn’t care who the sell to. If the owner wants to sell to that s3xy lady and ignore the watch nerd, he does what he wants, seeing those waiting lists are bollocks

I think we need a donut sub-forum. I can already see the threads:

"Waiting list for donuts... how long???"
"Donuts as investments?"
"Poll: Glazed donuts vs. powdered, which is better??"
"Bought donuts but didn't come with the box, does this reduce the value?"

Is it safe to wear your donut in the shower.

I just can't imagine walking into an AD and carrying a box of donuts; what would the conversation be like? "Hey, I brought you some donuts; how about a Daytona?"

Ah yes...Dutch Doughnuts.

If my memory serves me correct....Records show that the Dutch were making olykoeks, or “oil cakes,” as early as the mid 19th century. These early doughnuts were simply balls of cake fried in pork fat until golden brown. (not really googled to look smart)

In the later years much like during the Tulip Mania of the 17th century the olykoeks were known to be bartered for fine swiss clocks and pocket watches. Literally a "bakers dozen" could be traded for a family heirloom...just for the asking".

I took two dozen donuts in to my AD today and they said: “Thanks for the donuts” and stared at me; no offer of a new watch.

What was I doing wrong?

I wonder how many donuts you could get if you walked in to a Donut Shop and gifted them a Rolex?
