Icon17 After Dalip got to me, figured I should try OEM rubber before 1st Toshi arrives

So, I lasted two weeks before getting caught by the strap bug.

Thanks a lot, Dalip, for pushing me over the edge with your very fine almond Toshi!

While waiting for it to come in (ordered it today), I switched from the standard brown OEM croc on my 164 to the OEM rubber. Man, it's just fantastic.

Very comfortable, and gives the watch a totally different look. I was a bit unsure about the "Officine Panerai" text on the strap, but, it's pretty subtle on the wrist, and I like the fact that "Officine" is the text I see when looking down at the watch, as opposed to having "Paneria" screaming at me.

Just thought I'd post a couple of pix, even though most of you know what this looks like. I'm very happy with how the brushed case helps "sport" up the watch with the rubber, while the polished bezel & crown guard "dresses" the piece with the brown croc.

Awesome Cru...it's brilliant how easy it is to completely change the look of the watch. The rubber is always a good option. I find mine very comfortable....

I also agree about the text.

Very happy to have enabled this process for you....you're going to love it

No, no stickiness....it wears pretty light and isn't noticeable. Then again, it was only 26 yesterday, so, we'll see when it really heats up.

After you posted pix of receiving your 164(which is the first panerai I wanted, but went with the 312 instead) I found a preowned complete set in like new condition and could not pass it up, I'm wearing the same combo right now.
