For starters, stop showering with it!
Secondly, make sure you tight it snug after winding/setting. |

The crown cannot unscrew by itself unless wrist friction clothes movement is rubbing against the crown and making it move.If the tube thread are fine and you just screw down the crown just finger tight it should not move unless you have a ghost in your watch

Alwyn take my advice its much better to wear your watch a snug fit rather than loose.Watch just above the wrist bone, bracelet adjusted just so you can get your little finger tip under the clasp.

The only time I've had that happen after I had tightened the crown correctly, the crown/tube assembly was no good. Sometimes the unscrewing is an indication that the threads are shot.

I was advised that playing golf (and the associated wrist action) may loosen the crown on my DateJust

I've been wearing DJs (just loose enough to insert the tip of my little finger under the clasp) for 22 years and never had that happen. You are either not tightening the crown enough or something needs to be checked.

Hi Guys,
Again...many tks for the replies & advise. I do screw e crown tightly after date adjustments every 2 mths. Looking at the closeness of the crown to my wrist when flexed, it is probably the skin friction that cause it to unscrew on its own. Strangely i was wearing a tag for 15 yrs and had no such probs. :) Hv unscrewed and re-tightened this morning and will monitor. Alwyn |
