Why or how did my layout change

I was browsing and registered with a normal viewing layout. The left column was narrow and the right side with posts took up the majority of the screen width then all of a sudden the left side is huge and the posts are about 1/4-1/3 my screen making them very tall.

I tried changing the styles at the bottom and none returned it to how it was. And, I messed with the option at the top right with no luck either. Some photos that appeared before now just have an "attachment" icon that doesn't work as well.

Any help? I'm veiwing on an iPhone 6 but not in iphone mode. It was what appeared to be desktop mode but don't see that option.

It went back to normal after exiting out of safari and refreshing a number of times. Think may have been safari glitch.
