If they ever do it will be in 12-15 years since they have just released the new Datejusts this year in SS and the TT and gold models before that.

Rolex makes changes gradually and does not follow trends.

I've been screaming out these very thoughts for the past 25 years....I guess I can keep on dreaming.

The 36 mm I can somehow drag myself to understand....but what's with those ridiculous 31 mm and 34 mm models? Ear-studs or cuff-links!! Take your pick!

I would seriously doubt if you will ever see a DJ 40mm,don't forget its one of Rolex biggest sellers. With the biggest proportion sold to the Asian market, who in general are quite small, compared to the western world.

Spot-on, Padi. The 36 mm size is perfect for the average 6½" wrist...which is what most Asians would have!!

Totally agree, but.......

I'm really surprised you don't see more women wearing the mid-size actually. Nicely proportioned, and some of the plainer oyster versions look nice.

Those tiny ones do look ridiculous, but I guess they are pretty chunky in comparison to the kinds of ladies watches generally worn by my Grandma and her generation! - almost like a pre-war thing - 'women don't work, so why do they need to tell the time!!!' - my Grandma wears a watch so small you'd need a magnifying glass to read it.
Funny thing is, she's 87 and going blind but is still able to tell the time on it!
Reminds me of a funny story - my wifes Grandma, who lived through the blitz here in London, had a stroke about 2 years ago in her sleep, and woke up blind. She then had breakfast as usual, with her 90 year old sister, then they took a bus to the hospital, which is about an hours journey away. I asked why they didn't call a taxi, she replied 'I didn't want to make a fuss, and we'd bought some kippers for breakfast which I was really looking forward to. It's only my eyes after all, I was still hungry, and I enjoy a ride on the bus - but it was difficult climbing down from the top deck' - happily her sight returned after a couple of days, but they don't make them like that any more!!!
