Looks real to me. The "T" stands for when they used Tritium instead of Luminova.

It will not fit a 1970 DD
That dial is for a quickset model--you need a "piepan" dial for a 1970 model--compression fit with no dial feet like this one.....

Spot welds and solder maybe? I find it interesting how much attention goes to the dial, only to flip it over and find a beaten and battered mess.
