Over the moon
Over the moon with my delivery this morning. I have loved the 5 digit submariners for as long as I can remember, particularly the blue/gold two tone!
A couple of years ago I bought a 16803 with no box/papers from a reputable local jeweller but upon taking it to be valued for my insurance I was informed that it was a frankenwatch, with some non genuine parts. Luckily I managed to return it and didn’t end up out of pocket, and carried on wearing my Seamaster ever since. Now after saving some more, I decided to buy a 16613, and also decided to buy from a larger company. This one came from Watchfinder, with a recent Rolex service. The watch itself is immaculate and has been refinished very nicely unlike my last one, although I knew no better at the time. It came with box/papers, and I have attached some pics of what it came with. Would this qualify as a ‘full set’ or is anything missing? All of the serial numbers on the paperwork and tags all correspond and I have no reason to assume anything isn’t correct, but I would appreciate other opinions from the people on here as I’m far from expert but still wary after last time, and don’t want to be stuck with something that isn’t 100% genuine. I love reading all the posts on this forum, and I’m sure this won’t be my last Rolex! |

Thanks a lot guys, I honestly can’t believe how they’ve managed to make a 20 year old watch look so good in the service, not a mark on it! I had every intention of wearing it 24/7 like I used to with my Omega, but I’m struggling now, as I don’t want to damage it!

After a few scratches you’ll forget about damaging it. Slap it on and wear in good health,

When I have seen this title I just thought that amazing photo in photo section of forum is being bumped and somehow getting here. If you haven't seen, have a look.
Then I've seen why over the moon and can totally relate. In a word - special! Congratulations. |

Thanks a lot guys, very happy with it. I’ve not taken it off so far. Is it normal for it to need some time after a service to settle in with regards to accuracy?

Looks very nice, job well done by the RSC.
Wind it manually some 40 full 360 turns or so before use. Check the accuracy over a few weeks average. That will give you a better indication. Personally I don’t care much and even never checked. A few more or less out of spec (-4+6) is not going to make a difference considering that there are 86400 in a day.
