Have you purchased from an AD?

I have purchased seven Rolex’s. My most recent is from an AD. The other 6 were from a variety of Rolex avenues.

Somehow I just feel more comfortable.

All of my purchases have been from AD's. My first Rolex was from an AD in Japan when the Yen was weak, so it came out to be cheaper than going grey here. My Rolex is somewhat in demand, so going grey would cost more.
My other two non-Rolex purchases, I got a decent enough discount from the AD that going grey for unworn or like new condition pieces would not have saved me that much more.

Yes.

Does the comfort come from paying MSRP instead of over?

Ad

I have only bought from AD's or individuals that I trusted. I won't pay over retail.

3 from ADs, only grey was my 16710 but that was because it had been discontinued long ago.

I've probably owned over 25 Rolex and still have 15 , All of mine were purchased from an AD most from my local AD that I've been using for 10 years.
I can now get just about any Rolex I want within a few months so my loyalty seems to have paid off

Before all this craziness, always grey . . . recently paid MSRP plus sales tax for 2 Oyster Perpetuals, still way less than what grey have been listing them for. Nuts . . .

It seems somewhat a badge of honor now to buy from an AD. IOw, pay retail. But for most, what is the “real” cost of retail? Including buying things you don’t really want.

I’ve bought from an AD before the madness. The “experience” is overrated.

2/3 AD. Have a fantastic AD.

1/3 DavidSW.

1 Watch on Chrono... went fine but won't do that again. Was more stressful, and the Chrono fee I thought was crazy.

Not at an AD. Purchased my 214060 at a Grey dealer at abut $3K over retail. At 74 and cancer survivor I just do everything I want to Now rather that Later is why.

Have you purchased from an AD?

As respects Rolex - both Z blue Milgauss and TT CHNR from same AD with no previous purchase history with them.

For Christmas this year just went back to them for jewelry for the wife.

They have my loyalty.

Steve

One and done purchased Sub ND 114060 in San Diego,CA. I live in the Washington DC area with all the $$$ I can’t compete with the rich and elite here. I asked AD in Washington DC area and they laugh at you if you don’t have prior history the small mom and pop shops were best chance but Rolex took away there AD status.
