I like their new collection. I'm sure there was quite a demand for the chrono and a classic looking time/date only. The three hand does look like the JLC Polaris though.

It is good to see AP trying something different. In saying that, I am not a fan of the dials and 41mm is too big for me. Even more so, how is a simple three-hander with a date 10.7mm thick?!

Boutiques are going to try to ram it down your throat to buy a royal oak.

Patek could have released 13 Pilot watches successfully. Patek Pilot watches are masterpieces, as compared with this AP Code Red. Heck, even Vacheron FiftySix suddenly looks like a masterpiece, as compared with this AP disaster.

The design itself it not appealing to me.

It will coexist with the rest of the RO and ROO, but I don’t think it will be a hit...they could have done better with the dials and layout IMO.

I really like the VC Fifty Six, especially the AC. Seems to have come in for some real abuse from many in the watch community.

Yes, Vacheron FiftySix is actually well-designed.

Id have no desire to buy these APs. Cheapened the brand and quite frankly looks horrible. No thanks.

It is actually a Triple Calender, (Month, day, date) not an AC. Nevertheless, the finishing is to the usual VC standards; just amazing.

It is a vast improvement to the JA line. It puts 3 separate and distinct lines under the AP brand (Royal Oak, Millenary and now the Code 11.59)

Everyone seems not to love the dial, however you will need to see these in person to appreciate the full beauty. And the TB and MR receive an enamel dial.

Also nobody does skeleton like AP and this one is a work of art.

Just my 2 cents.

Fixed for you.

I said it in one of the AP threads, I'm shocked they even keep the jumbo. Only reason must be as bait to sell people all this crap they have on the side. Very disappointing.

I think the watches In themselves are not bad - although I am definitely not a buyer. Someone earlier in the thread said they’ve been 6 years in the making. I think AP are bringing these to market too late and might have missed their opportunity, as a lot has happened in 6 years. A new line of sports watches might have had more success.

I get the impression that AP either did a ton of market research on this watch or did very little. While there are some interesting elements, namely the case and the lugs, I personally think it looks like a cheap fashion watch. The name is also horribly chosen and the MSRPs are too high. Still, it may appeal to the Royal Oak crowd that wants a "dress" watch. Sadly, however, this collection only reinforces the stereotype that, among the "holy trinity", old money buys VC, new money buys PP, and those with sudden money from a record or sports deal who may not have any money in a few years buys AP. I just can't see this line being successful long term. The VC Fiftysix is a triumph in comparison, although I actually think the Complete Calendar and the Day-Date are nice watches and fairly priced in steel.
