Incoming--BLNR!

My dad started me on my love for Rolex. For a while I had my Daytona and he had his Datejust. Several years ago I sold the Daytona, then a couple years ago I unfortunately inherited the Datejust.

If you look at my past posts you'd see that I've been planning to start a collection for a while, but I've been upselling myself on the starting point. It got to the point where I was about to spend $45K on a gently used platinum DD40 (with the wife's approval, no less). When it came own to it, I just wasn't comfortable spending that much money on myself yet. So, I stepped back and considered the advice so often seen on this forum: buy the watch you want to wear at a price that is comfortable to you. That led me to a wonderful AD who helped me get the BLNR. With a little patience, I hope to add a Skydweller later this year. That platinum will still be there in a couple years when I turn 50. Until then, I am thrilled with my choice. Not sure that it is ever going to be removed from my wrist!

Amazing watch. I just acquired a Tudor BB GMT & couldn't be happier. If I were to ever go for a GMT Master II it would be the Batman. Have fun watching that blue change tones with the light. Enjoy and wear in good health!

Congrats Craig.....well this incoming should put a stop to "my AD said no more BLNR in 2019 because they are being discontinued" thread. As many experts have chimed in, no AD knows in advance about Rolex and their plans. It's pure speculation until Basel.

Congrats. And it's good to have the WAF (wife approval factor) for those future purchases.

Just curious but did you have buying history with the AD before scoring the BLNR?

Actually, I just met the AD quite recently. This was my first purchase, but it certainly won’t be the last!
