BLNR for a BLRO?

Would you make that trade straight up? BLNR almost 6 years old, BLRO new.

I know, depends on which you like...still, thoughts?

The BLRO is so much nicer in my opinion with 50% more power reserve as well and a more dressy bracelet.

You’ve found someone with a BLRO that will trade straight up? Do it before they figure out what they’re going for and change their mind.

Yeah, think I have to pull the trigger - I guess both are scarce. This BLNR "craze" is bizarre. All of the sudden everyone wants one, but it seems like there are plenty...

One of my employees has the BLNR as well, and he swears a local Jeweler offered him 14k for his a week ago. I asked him why he didn't go home, get the box et al, and hand over the watch; he swears it's going to be discontinued. I bet him a hundred they update the movement and the bubble breaks.

Think I might swing by his jeweler first....

What? Big No! The new BLRO doesn't match up to BLNR. If I want Pepsi, I rather go for 16710.

Huh ?

I've had a BLNR and let it go...
Honestly I think it's more a personal issue.

Their fake BLRO for your real BLNR? No ...

Only way someone does that trade from their end.

Absolutely. No questions asked. If you have someone willing to do that, go for it. You can replace a BLNR a lot easier than a BLRO.

That's an incredible deal imho! The Pepsi is a much hotter watch right now with waiting lists 100+ at some ADs (reference Feb/19 WatchTime magazine review of Pepsi). I would bet the BLNR will be continued albeit with the new 32XX movement and subtle case tweaks. Good luck. Let us all know how it goes. Cheers!

Sounds almost too good to be true. The new BLRO is worth ~$4k more in the secondary market than the BLNR. Anyone trading a BLRO to get a BLNR should also be getting at least a couple grand back.

I’m surprised by all the “yes” votes here. I have a BLNR and wouldn’t do that deal if it were offered in the opposite direction. I love my BLNR. Then again, this is really a 1:1 trade if you ask me.

Personal choice. BLRO is the hot new watch everyone wants because its is difficult to get it. The harder it is to get the more you want. However, depends on your personal choice. If you wear the watch regularly the power reserve is not an important thing. The new movement might be an attractive deal. But aesthetically it comes down to three things:

i) Do you like the jubilee or oyster bracelet? After trying both, I prefer the Oyster.
ii) Do you like the red/blue bezel or the black/blue bezel? Would be nice if you could swap the inserts like on the older GMTs, but that is not an option.
iii) Do you like the Blue GMT hand vs the Red GMT hand?

If your buddy/dealer agrees to a straight up deal and you like the BLRO, go for it, pretty good deal. Else, pass on and enjoy the BLNR.

The BLNR left my stable for a BLUESY SUB C ...

Nope wouldn’t do it. In the end, BLNR will be more sought after. Hold onto it. I know I am.

You can trade then sell the Pepsi and buy brand new BLNR and have $5k to spare.

Huh?

I was offered BLRO by my AD and I declined after seeing it in person. I personally will not let go my BLNR for the new BLRO.

I’d def do it...I don’t like the BLNR as black and blue don’t pair as nicely. Navy suits always look better with brown shoes and belts rather than black!

I would definitely do it. BLRO much more difficult to find but more important to me I like the BLRO better. Not to mention the higher re-sale value of the BLRO should you decide to sell it.

It sounds much too good to be true...but if only for the monetary value difference, it’s a no brainer trade(as long as the BLRO is legitimate of course).

Is that supposed to be a good thing? A red and blue bezel sport watch with a “dressy” bracelet

I prefer the Blnr but those numbers don't add up for one 6yrs. old vs a new Blro, if so it sounds like a smokin deal if you like it better. I'd still keep my 3 mos. old Blnr regardless if it were offered to me.
