I used to buy preowned watches but my OCD made me flipped it. Now I only buy new watch and must have my name on the warranty card, if it’s true BLNR will be discontinued then no way I would trade it. My reasons are BRLO will be here for another 10-15 years and I could easily sort one in the future. Whereas I can never buy a new BLNR. I also don’t believe Rolex will put a new movement into the LN and BLNR to have 3 bezels for 1 stainless sort model seem ridiculous as business strategies. Personally I don’t know if I like the Pepsi in person because I haven’t have a chance to try it on yet. But I like oyster bracelet and black/blue combo hence I vote NO trade.

Rolex has done 3 bezels for one stainless steel sport model in the past. I’m not seeing why they wouldn’t do it again.

It’s been said above but worth repeating. Do the trade, sell the Pepsi, buy a new BLNR and keep the extra cash. I’d make sure that the Pepsi is authentic...deal smells strange.
I prefer the BLNR to the Pepsi, but it’s clearly all in the eye of the beholder. |

I agree. Be careful if you go for it.

Be sure the BLRO is genuine. Then, I’d do the trade. I like the BLRO better, but that’s me; and I’m not you. Which one sings to you?
Some don’t like the jubilee and prefer the classic oyster bracelet. I prefer the oyster and I have a glidelock 97200 bracelet which I can put on any 6-digit GMTII. I used it on a BLNR previously. I will be curious to see what you do.

Consider this. If the AD can only sell the new BLRO for list price, he could trade for the BLNR and sell a used watch for an extra $4k. It’s not a bad move on the AD’s part and he doesn’t get in trouble for selling a watch over list price.

I would make that trade. I will be shocked if this is an actual trade that you’re able to make though.

Are you sure the BLRO is a genuine Rolex?

Yep. Anyone who’s lucky enough to have received a BLRO so far knows what it’s worth. That would be throwing money away. Also, if someone who received a BLRO from an AD wanted a BLNR they would get them one. Deliveries are still coming in in the US.

Yes, but no one in their right mind would do this trade with you. If a deal is too good to be true, you should be suspicious.

Thanks all.
I'm going to check it out and will post. Gimme a couple days. I was waiting/hoping for the BLRO with the oyster and was nonplussed with the whole white gold...then jubilee bracelet. Now I find I'm kind of meh on the BLNR. Not super meh, just kind of meh. As I understand it after a 2 minute aside: Friend has access to a BLRO at msrp but wants the BLNR and can't get it at that cost. Maybe they think with the potential discontinuation they would be netting many thousands of dollars if Rolex kills it and I would be the dupe. ...also didn't realize you could swap the oyster for jubilee. Interesting. Thanks again. |

I prefer the BLRO in white gold on the oyster bracelet. Not a fan of the jubilee bracelet on the GMT

As long as BLNR is not release with the new movement there is no way to compare it with BLRO.

Again, something smells fishy here. IF your friend could get a BLRO at MSRP, he could immediately call one of the trusted sellers here and trade for a NIB BLNR and get some money as well rather than trading for your used one. The trading price for them is thousands apart.

Without a doubt.
Is that really the deal though? I feel like BLROs are trading at least a few thousand dollars higher than BLNRs

Swap. Sell the BLRO and buy a newer BLNR with a few grand left over. Anyone offering that deal is nuts. You’d be crazy not to take it no matter which watch you wanna end up with

126710 BLRO? Straight trade and the BLNR is 6 years old? Absolute no brainer. Make the deal. If you’re not happy with the BLRO, sell it, buy back a brand new BLNR (even at a premium) and pocket a couple grand

I agree with all of the above. I prefer the BLNR because I do not like Jubilee bracelets, but economically the deal makes sense - even too much-.
