Did they offer any definitive explanation in their correspondence or did they just fix it and send it back? Either way I'm sure you're relieved... Now you can sleep again!

But It’s not back, it looks like they have polished it as the bezel isn’t as sharp as my other DJ but it takes a real good look/feel (I might even be wrong) but they have done an amazing job and didn’t charge me a penny.

Also, Rolex Head Office in Geneva seen this post so we know they’re watching and paying attention.

Really Happy, hats off to Rolex & Watches Of Switzerland in Cardiff, Wales!
Perfect!!! Enjoy it!

First of all, congrats to OP on the new watches as well as getting his TT DJ fixed by Rolex at no cost. Kudos to Rolex too for holding up to their reputation. Otherwise, oh man, so many negative and skeptical comments on this thread?!? The OP was literally lynched for his honest posting here!

Happy it got resolved, but I have a question. Is it the lighting, smudges on the clasp, or does the solid center polished area seem to have stripes on it now?

I would be really p1ssed off if they polished my bezel like that. I can tell it’s polished from the op’s pictures. It’s not nearly as sharp as it was before it was sent in. I would demand a new bezel. But that’s just me.

No fluted bezel is ever as sharp edged as an untouched one once the buffing wheel hits it. Do you realize that?

Oh, I realize that. The fact of the matter is that bezel was untouched and factory sharp when it was sent in due to an issue that was no fault of the op.
Now it’s an obviously polished bezel. Not good.

Randy
if it was not the fault of the OP who's fault was it. Who caused the watch to change colour...was it Rolex or the AD...

If Rolex is paying attention then please release a 40mm Turn-o-graph.

Thanks in advance.

Rolex intended them to be polished. You can make all the drama you want but they won't just give you a new 1500€ bezel.

Glad this worked out.

I’m sure I missed this earlier, but was the chemical balance of the hot tub off?

Glad it worked out for you!!! Followed this closely as I’m in the process of buying a hot tub. Let’s just say the Rolex will not be going in the tub regardless.

Icon12 Photoshopped?

Watch on the left is yellow gold IRL! These pics are from original purchase!....Photoshopped!...J/K!

Seriously though, congrats on satisfactory outcome. I am also interested in possible communications from Rolex regarding how it happened and how they fixed it for you.

Great thread!!
