Stolen IWC Portuguese 7 Days
Hey guys,
Unfortunately my IWC was stolen from my gym locker about 2 weeks ago. Insurance is sorting something out but thought I would let you guys know if you come across a IW500107 with case number 3853222, it is stolen. It had a brown Santoni strap on it instead of the usual navy. Please contact me if you come across it as I don't really care about the financial value, just a sentimental watch to me. Cheers!

Gyms in Stockholm has been targeted for years for expensive watches. They will observe you when you enter and then immediately break into your locker and leave. There are a lot of gyms that do not force members to swipe the card to enter(SATS) and thieves are usually there without a membership. I have talked to a few victims over the years, one lost a very nice IWC too. I talked to one guy who put his watch into the small bag he had around his waist, the thieves were upset when they didn't find his watch and made a mess in the locker. I never leave anything of value in the locker and always were my watch clearly visible to avoid having my locker broken into.
So, I thought you could not get anything from insurance if stolen from a gym locker, did you have success with that? |

I keep my wallet and watch with me at the gym. Sorry that happened to you.
I bet the gym didn't care much either. |

The lockers in my gym have over the years been broken into a few times targeting people walking in with expensive watches and keys for Mercs and BMW’s etc. It dos’nt happen very often but it happens!
I always wear in the gym my Explorer 39mm Mk2, carry my car key and in the locker I leave my iPhone6 and £10. Nothing else. In the further gated spa they have now in addition mini lockers for your gate pass and carried valuables. I still wear the Explorer. As I have just moved my iPhone on to an 11Pro I guess will best use in the gym clipped to my arm with earbuds. My trusty iPod is now in for retirement. |
