Ruud Van Devastated.

The explorer and Panerai wearer Mike Horn’s yacht is in Singapore early next month. The OP boutique are hosting a cocktail evening for some clients with Mr Horn as an incredibly special guest.

I’ve been invited.

I fly home a week before and head off to the States a few days later.

I’m going to miss it

If I pull a stunt like that, I'd be Ruud Van Deceased.

Mrs Van D and me off to San Diego via San Francisco for a 16 day cruise to Fort Lauderdale through the Panama Canal. We booked it a year ago and Mum Van D paid for it as a surprise for my birthday.

I'll do that, all right. It's a constant source of irritation that I've been in shipping for 33 years, sailed for 17 of those years, and never been through the Panama Canal. I've been to Panama, been on the canal and even been in the bloody canal but never sailed through it.

It's another one off my bucket list and I can't wait

That's awesome! Sounds like a dream trip. Hope you'll share a couple of photos.

I'm looking forward to starting to tick things off of my bucket list.

We can't wait for this one, should be awesome. I'll post a few pics for sure. Only taking the one watch (Grail Sub) though; I wouldn't be comfortable wearing one and leaving another in hotel safe and in the stateroom safe on the ship.

Just a few more things on the bucket list and I'm good. One of those is to nip over to Paris for the day and visit an OP boutique with you and not be enabled into buying anything

Sunglasses, ok, but you'll need to shave your head and sound not Australian

With great pleasure! As to your last point: the good thing about bucket lists is that you have to keep trying if you fail once, twice or more times.

You're a bad man, Mr Jones!

Looks like I'll be dragged back home kicking and screaming to our London office middle of next year. We live pretty close to Ashford (Eurostar terminal) so it can be done. I think you might see it as too much of a challenge though

I'm just glad Nick is out of the way in Canada. Things could get really messy otherwise

I'm doing the right thing, that I'm sure of. We booked it in May last year and I had to get permission from my company because we're only allowed two weeks leave at any one time and I need three weeks for this. I am so excited

Man, life must be good. Complaining about having to take a 16 day cruise!

On a sad note, my life sucks by comparison!

Not complaining Mik, oh no. Would've liked to have met Mr. Horn, the man who keeps 30 hour days, that's all

Hmmm, the OP flagship boutique in Florence / Firenze is on my bucket list too. We really should plan a GTG in Euroland next year

Natures already taken care of that.... and I spent a lot of years living in Yorkshire so I don't sound much like an Australian anymore (thank goodness)...
