Crown and Caliber Confusions

So, I normally don't do this kind of thing, but this one has me

Crown and Caliber has this Panerai for sale:

https://www.crownandcaliber.com/prod...-10-pam-b4vy7r

It was part of the Pam 785 set of 2 watches. The other one is the 594, which C&C also have instock.

It's a cool watch, and I have seen these split up before from other dealers, so I buy it.

I get an email this morning that it is ready to ship...

About an hour later I get a phone call from C&C. The dude tells me that I can't just buy the 602, I have to buy the 594 as well as it's a set.

I'm asked why didn't you post them as set (785) like everyone else does when they come up for sale...He said their system can't do that???

Whatever...I cancelled it and moved on. Just an FYI. if you see these and want one, you have to buy BOTH...even though they are listed seperately.

It says (Part of Set) on each watch. Its okay, not a big deal from online seller!

To explain OP - yes some systems can't do 2 watches in one product SKU and for that they need to change whole system. For 1 off thing, they will not worry to upgrade the system and just manage it. Hope that helps!

They must have added that "part of set" to the listing. Even now it's still misleading. I got my money back so it's all ok in that end.

Glad u got money back. C&c prices usually run high. You think they would at least provide a link to sister watch in set. Bizarre

Yeah...I don't get it either...but I guess they will irritate enough people to make a clearer listing at some point.

So is the 4700.00 price for the one watch or the set? Confusing to say the least.

$4700 was for one. So it’s $4700 x2...but they don’t say that. Even now, it’s just “part of a set”. Doesn’t say that they must be purchased together.

Other dealers have listed these individually and as the PAM 785 set no problem whatsoever..

would have been all too easy to just have a separate sku for the set. retarded to say they can't.
but yeah, totally misleading. i am guessing the 9k is for both watches ?

I’m not sure how difficult it can be to photograph 2 watches together? Most other sellers manage it.
Fleetlord, there are a few models very similar to that one that can be purchased singly.

Rather unnecessary comment. Luckily we all have different tastes. I love the Panerai in my collection.

Why? It's my opinion, and I said for me. Is your opinion any better than mine?

Yours is totally irrelevant in this thread unless a) you know the OP and your opinion might be valued, or b) OP asked for an opinion of Panerai.

I trust this clears the matter up

Then I suppose yours is totally irrelevant also, as you don't know the OP and you gave your opinion of Panerai. I trust we are totally clear on the matter, now...

Yes we can part as friends. When you post on a public forum, you open up yourself to many opinions, necessary or unnecessary….
