That is a genuine 16613. It has an aftermarket insert and maybe an over polished bezel too.

The coffee coloured date wheel is correct for this watch.

As I said watch looked genuine to me apart from insert, which is clearly wrong.

Thank you again.
It is generally discouraged for members to actually discuss issues publicly.

Although, you may ask for someone to PM you with their noted issues, or someone may do that for you without being asked . . .

that's where I am. Someone put a crap bezel insert on a very nice watch. there's nothing wrong with this Sub for it's vintage except the bezel insert. Please check it out-

You know the movement is untouched? Bracelet end links and clasp all original? Nothing else aftermarket?
Anyone that adds that bezel and markets as all original - I suspect does not have a clue

No one can guarantee that complete watch (excluding bezel) is all 100% original from that photo

Yep, exactly. It is so amazing that some people indicate with their questionable posts to have the abilities of 'psychics'.

This is 100% correct. Whatever clown put that bezel on this 16613 likely harvested other valid parts, leaving this thing a . But, at very most, the maximum answer about genuineness much be “we have no idea based on one picture showing a insert”. Any other answer is just reckless. Good luck OP sorting thru the wheat and chaff of this post.

This is my first post on these forums, however I have read a lot and I thank you for all of your help.

I'm looking to purchase my first Sub and this one came up here locally.

I will be meeting them at my local jeweler to authenticate, but I wanted to get your feedback first. The Bezel on this watch seems off to me. All of the other Subs that I have looked at have an engraved bezel that you can feel. Does this being a two tone change that? Please see picture.

Also, if you could give me your thoughts on this watch. The band looks good with normal wear. I'm more concerned with the face.

Thank you in advance for your help.

You buy this junker yet?
