All i can say is

i mean good luck.

For your grey dealer purchases... You just have to buy it from a state that takes sales tax for destination states. You don't really have to worry much about sales tax.

You'll have to buy online. Oregon is too small of a market.

I am not looking for a quick one, but a long-term investment where I can hold a good timepiece on my hand and then not loose any valuation after 10. or 20 years.
I am close to Portland, Oregon. Would like to buy a good Rolex with out being price gouged( ya, folks want ice water in hell LOL ). So thought would reach out to the forum to see what their guidance and thoughts are ...if I am willing to drop some serious dough.
Would appreciate your help!!!
Thanks,
Sandeep

15k spend BB Washington Square... not that it matters because I needed the stuff anyways for my wedding. None the less have had some verbal promises but nothing tangible.

You don’t.
Buy the seller and pick someone who is absolutely flawless eg DavidSW.

Another quick question, If I buy in after market, do I need to take the watch re-register my ownership with Rolex. Does it even matter if the warranty period is over ? If so, how ?
Hi Sandeep try DavidSW online. He is a trusted seller and I have done several deals with him. If you find a watch you like, you will have it the next day and it will be as promised. David is the man, buy with confidence!

Hi Sandeep- no Rolex AD in PDX will authenticate for you, so buy online from one of the trusted grays DavisSW, Takuya, Watchbox, OCRolexguy, Sohais... there are others...some have their own websites, for others if you go to watchrecon.com and search their names, their sales will pop up.
But if value retention is one of your goals, buying a watch that is still being sold for $10K, at 2 or 3 times that price because of hype, well, it's your money.
- could the value of your purchase hold steady or increase ? Maybe, but there's an awful big downside.

Got my 116500 from DavidSW last year. It was a easy transaction. I was texted several pictures by my request and the watch was shipped with next day delivery.

I’m a Ben Bridge fan. I live between Portland and Seattle. Bought a Tudor as a gift for someone at Packouz earlier this year. Corresponded with owner’s son at Packouz and bought it over the phone. Made an appointment to come pick it up and he immediately blew me off and went to lunch and handed me off to a sales associate. She was great at sizing the watch, etc. Later inquired about a BB Ceramic at Packouz with owners son and he never responded. Subsequently, contacted Ben Bridge (with no prior history) and they were great in getting me the BB Ceramic right after release and later a unique Panerai and some jewelry for my wife. They are now helping with a Rolex for my wife. I’m a fan of supporting smaller family owned businesses, however, in this case I feel it was just a transaction…while at the larger Ben Bridge they make me feel valued as a customer.

Get on your phone and buy gray. Save yourself the headaches.

Don’t buy a Rolex if you are worried about it being an investment. Buy it because you want one. Welcome to the forum ! Hope you find what you are looking for
