1995 Rolex 16610 Submariner Date Unpolished LNOS Safequeen Full Set Cream Patina

For sale is a Like New Old Stock (LNOS) condition 40mm stainless steel Rolex Submariner Date. The T serial 16610 was originally shipped from Rolex USA to the authorized retailer on 11/29/1995, according to its red letter shipment code (RROCCX), and was subsequently retailed in February of 1996. The 16610 is accompanied by an extensive box and papers set which includes: inner and outer boxes, the original international warranty paper, a silver anchor, three instruction manuals, a manual holder, a black manual spacer card, a red wax Rolex hologram hang tag, and a plastic anchor holder.

The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a unidirectional polished steel bezel that is set with a black divers insert. The Submariner is mounted on its original 93150 brushed steel Oyster bracelet, which appears to have never been sized, and is fully linked. The 91350 bracelet is stamped with a “W8” clasp code, which corresponds with a production date of August 1995. The Rolex features a black dial with applied polished white gold surround tritium coated hour markers, polished tritium coated hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The tritium hour markers and hands have started to acquire a light golden cream colored patina, which is even in color, and also matches the tritium pip on the bezel insert. The movement used in the 16610 is the Rolex caliber 3135, which features approximately 48 hours of power reserve.

The Submariner’s unpolished case is truly exceptional and is free of any noticeable signs of wear, retaining exceptionally sharp chamfers and super crisp brush lines. The bezel ring is also sharp, while the insert is free of any scratches. In addition, the case still retains its original caseback sticker, which has been preserved well, but the gold filling inside the numbers has worn off from age and handling. The fully linked bracelet is flawless and appears to have never been sized, as the screws remain free of any tool marks. Furthermore, the bracelet contains ZERO stretch, while the clasp is still sticky to open / close, which signifies that it has only been opened so many times.

Overall the 16610 is in LNOS condition, and is the true personification of what a safe queen watch truly is, having only been handled on a handful of occasions since purchase !
