Stainless steel kitchen sink

As part of our kitchen remodeling, we went from a ceramic sink to a SS sink.
I don’t like seeing the water spots that remain every time we use it - spots didn’t show up on the white ceramic sink.
For those of you that have SS sinks, how do you deal with that - wipe after every use or?

We’ve got a SS sink also. We make sure to always dry it out after use.

Have to neutralize it with baking soda every once in a while or get a better housekeeper.

Right, or pay my wife more…
Haven’t used it for anything yet (less than a week old) other than letting the faucet run to get a glass of water or water for the coffee pot etc…

So the wiping after every use, use a microfiber towel? Regular towels or paper towels leave water streaks like they do on a car finish.

I also hear that vinegar is a good cleaner followed by a very light application of olive oil.

Kinda makes me wish we went with a white ceramic one.

She’s got half anyway so don’t worry about paying more today.

And why are you letting your wife to do this? That’s risky business right there my friend. Pay $200 a month and help her out with a housekeeper or she’ll mix your meds up when you’re old like me.

Anyway, vinegar is an acid. Alone not good for ss. But Mix some soda water and baking soda instead. Wipe and review results.

Or, don’t look in your sink! Like the rest of us regular folk for the love of god man.

It's a tool. Wait for it to get some honest wear marks. 0000 steel wool will soften the sheen.

I’d sue them for false advertising. It says STAINLESS.

I clean mine until I can see my reflection.

Once I saw Willy Nelson’s face in it, so I had to stop. Or I think it was Willy’s….

Add a water softener to help eliminate mineral deposits

Once it gets good and scratched, you wont even notice water spots.

Wait, are we talking about sinks or Submariners?

This is exactly the kind of thing that happens when guys are allowed into the kitchen.

Every time I walk into the kitchen my wife yells, get the hell outa my kitchen. (I had to get a garage fridge to store the beer.)

Boundaries, people…..boundaries.

Uh I don’t have time to think about what my sink looks like, or get the spots out, and don’t notice it to be honest.

The spots add character. Some guy treated our sink and I’ve never noticed and issue.

That’s what my dad did every time the car ash tray filled up.
Thanks for all the suggestions - we have soft water due (water softener in use).

I think quoting Shakespeare may be a little highbrow for this thread, but we do appreciate the attempt.

And yelling at your sink may be a one way ticket to the funny farm.

I use Ajax or Comet to scrub the sink clean periodically and the water just rolls off down the drain like water off a freshly waxed car.....

I wipe out every night (I do the dishes by hand...not a fan of dishwashers, generally). Wife uses a Magic Eraser on it every couple weeks. I think it's clean...but after the Magic Eraser, it looks new.
