Hi all

Up until recently I’ve not been a watch guy.
For 10yrs never worn a watch or considered wearing one unless I was on the golf course and it had GPS.

But earlier this year a friend who is a collector and enthusiast of fine watches got me curious and somehow I became interested in buying a Rolex.
It was something that never interested me in the past but I remember my dad talking about wanting one when he was alive but he’d never been able to afford one.
I decided I’d buy the watch which I most liked the look of. It was the Batman.
Knowing that it be difficult getting my hands on one I still rang a few dealers locally, all refused to even put me on a waiting list bar 1 who said it would be a 5-10 yr wait. I wasn’t too disappointed as I knew I wasn’t going to pay more than the retail price and wasn’t that desperate to get it there and then.

Whilst on holiday in February I walked into a AD who had the Batman. I told him I’d have a think about it and come back latter. He warned me it might be sold by then. I returned after 15mins and payed for the watch.

I was to latter find out the watch was originally for a different customer who’d waited on the list for it but then 15mins before I walked into the shop he’d decided he didn’t want it. Within a hour of me purchasing the watch he rang the AD to say he’s changed his mind and wanted the watch!

I must be a lucky sod having read the difficulties of getting this watch.

I absolutely love it and haven’t taken it off since I got it. I loved it so much I decided I wanted more. So on returning to the same holiday destination last month I popped into the same AD and have gotten the gold Daytona oysterflex and the Everose Yacht master for the wife.

Wow... I’ve never been a jewellery or watch man but I certainly am a watch man now.

Looking forward to adding to the collection
Pepsi
Ss Daytona
Hulk
Sky-Dweller

Next on the list!
