Matte vs. shiny black OEM Patek alligator strap for 2002 5035-P annual calendar
Hi,
Title says it all; I sent my newly purchased 5035-P annual calendar in to Patek for a service, and am getting the strap replaced with either shiny or matte black OEM alligator strap. Does anyone have pictures of the two together/have suggestions either way? I'm leaning toward matte because it looks more intriguing, but I haven't actually seen it on the watch. Thanks in advance! Not in black but in other coulours i have blue brown and green ,i think the shiny isn t that loud rather it has some extra gloss what is really pleasing ,as you may know with over the time the shine gets dimmer and the matte gets shinier. Found a pic ,these were freshly waxed the green is shiny the rest are matte obviously after drying a couple of hours those getting back their original finish

Buy both and get the easy release pins to do your own strap changes. If just one matte.

The matte makes the texture stand out more and have a richer appearance.

I also recommend the matte straps - replaced the shiny bracelet with the matte one on my 5146 and 5196
