messin' with the macro settings....

at a bit of a loose end today, so thought I'd take a couple close ups of the SBGE201...I actually took a load, then discovered I'm not all that good at it...

yes, I know, not macro but just so everyone knows which watch.....

I love that you can see, in the one hour marker, both the serrated top surface along with the reflection of the GMT hand in the highly polished facet...

you can also see the silvery texture in the "Grand Seiko" print and that the "GS" is actually an applied, not printed detail.

that tiny PR indicator, polished cap with a matted hand...it's so tiny, who would even do that ?!!? Grand Seiko, that's who !

The hands...look at that finish !!

I am in love with this watch, I've not worn my Explorer II since I got the GS, this is just a so much nicer timepiece.

Excellent pics. Such a nice watch. Blows the Rolex gmts away in all ways. Except resale.

Honestly you don't need that eii with this in the box. Want a speedmaster to try for a while?

Great pictures, great watch.. I originally let go of my GMT Master in favor of the 201. Now I have the SBGE 245. Fantastic watches, I don’t miss the GMT Master at all. I love discovering all the little details GS does so well. Thanks for sharing.

I mean I took a shedload of pics, but only a handful were useable, mostly my fault for not using a tripod...handholding the camera using a wafer thin DOF...
