It's a nice watch that I think you over magnified and disappointed yourself in the process.

But since this was you first post here I thought you could be here just to complain, you wouldn't be the first

That aside, These imperfections are really very acceptable. Quite a few members agreed with you ... But also to them ... if a scratch , probably smaller than 0.5 mm is unacceptable to you I think you should think about finding another passion.

I don't drive a fancy car but if I could afford a Rolls Royce, you think I would make pics from every square centimeter , enlarge it to 50 square cm .... search for very tiny faults, and if I found one start complaining ?

I'm sure I can find 500 of these faults on a new Rolls. Maybe a little scratch on a rim, an imperfection on the leather seats, a not 100% straight stitching, an air vent that isn't 100% exactly aligned in the dashboard , etc

All of the above.
Loved the post by charidv
Based on the new photo provided by the OP, I really can't see an issue.
But as the OP is now aware of them and has concerns, than they should take it back to their AD. So they have peace of mind.

Thanks for the better photos. I can see the marks on the hands you were referring to, but maybe that's because I know they are there. If they are obvious irl (and maybe they catch the light) I'd take it back to your AD with your concerns.

Also is that a mark on the top right of the nine o'clock marker?

I would definitely send it to Patek for their expert opinion. Good luck. I would be equally as annoyed as you. I will make sure to bring a loupe with Mr before I take delivery of my 5712, which I've been told arrives in the next 3-4 months.

To the cynics I guess it wasn't a fake. Apologies or you only apologize for Patek.

I was skeptical, not cynical, and based on the initial photos with every reason

That's definitely imperfections visible to the naked eye. I'd be quite upset also if that were my watch.

I'd send it back without hesitation. Handmade or machine made, both irrelevant. You spend ten's of thousands and have this flaw, unacceptable. Im certain Patek will take care of this.

We have one, but letting my wife wear it, stil think my 5711/12 and 5167R are more comfy

No question 5711/5712/5167 are more comfortable than the 116500 but as we all know the ceramic bezel allows a certain level of comfort that you can't deny.

I know arnuad felt like his former Rolex were somewhat bulky, the Daytona case takes care of that.
I agree that my 3 are more comfy than the 116500

Nope real, I guess the huge magnification made it look not black

I can't believe that people are staring into the dial at 6600% magnification. I mean, please forgive me, but this is some of the saddest behaviour I've ever seen. What happened to opening the seal with glass of champagne, slapping it on your wrist, scratching the hell out of the case immediately on your first night out and laughing and smiling about it?

Patek QC isn't what it was - we know that. But nor are the customers. Was it Thierry Stern's grandfather who said "I make watches for Industrialists" ??
Well not now they don't - make them for some seriously saddo nerds.

I'm sorry to be offensive but I have no better way to articulate my thoughts.

Don't send it back. It's FINE. Live your life.
