My perfect Breitling.........what's yours?

Well it isn't easy looking through the range of Breitling watches which one is right for me.

But after some deliberation, the one that most catches my fancy is the "Breitling B1 SuperQuartz".

This watch is just unbelievable. It has about anything and everything you can imagine. Awesome Emergency style dial. It is no longer made, so that gives it an added attraction to me. The SuperQuartz accuracy so you get the best in quartz technology.

Priced way less than a lot of watches.

I'm going a hunting

Sorry Oscar, I like the B1 Superquartz too much.

Hey, do you know the B1 Superquartz has:
(a) Duel Time just like a GMT;
(b) Countdown timer;
(c) Chronograph to 1/100 of a second for up to like 100 days;
(d) Super alert alarm (sound resonance chamber on the back of the watch);
(e) Regular time;
(f) Slide Rule functions;
(g) Night light function - Night viosion goggles compatable (but of course );
(h) Sapphire crystal with anti reflection on both sides.
(h) Day of the week.

etc. etc. so how cool is that!!!!!

It seems it isn't just me that thinks this watch is special.

Check out how many official military editions have been produced:

Mine is the Chrono Avenger with professional II bracelet. I really like that it's made of titanium. It's very light for a 44mm.

Yes Eddie that is the watch.

It is very highly regarded it seems and they even made a limited edition 'stealth model' which for reasons you will appreciate is important to us both.
See the military versions link above.

Thanks Brandon, excellent photos

Just so many functions on this watch, I've never seen a watch with so much as this before.

This one for me, although if pushed i would also add the Breitling Jupiter Pilot on my list of favorites, the nice thing with the blacksteel is the strap options, they are limitless

Here is another photo of the B1 Chronometre. Photo is not mine, but taken from a web-site reviewing the B1.

It looks great to me

The B-1 is a classic...

I just picked up a black dial B-1 SuperQuartz this past Sunday after several years of lusting after one, and all I can think is "why the heck didn't I do this sooner?" Seriously, when I think about the watches that have come and gone in my collection since then, I have to wonder where my head was at. Yes, it's quartz, which usually gets a drubbing from the average WIS, but there's something about this piece that transcends the quartz stigma. I don't know if it's the functionality, solidity, or aesthetics, but overall there's very little that I would change. Honestly, I can't imagine what Breitling was thinking when they replaced this model with the Airwolf.

Anyway, keep your eyes peeled, and when the one you want shows its face, my advice would be jump on it quick before someone else snakes it out from underneath you.

Regards,
Adam
