the big question…which Submariner colour do you prefer?

…for some reason, any discussion around the new Submariner LV bezel gets quite animated.

so the big question…which Submariner LV bezel colour do you prefer…old or new?

i haven’t added a third option of ‘don’t know/don’t care’ although i appreciate there will be some who can’t tell the difference; or choose not to accept this change.

I'd have to see it in person to be 100% sure, but by looking at the pictures, I like the old green tone better.

Is the new dial actually matte in real life? I thought the only change was the bezel color. Tough to compare computer generated images...

I prefer the new one, mostly because I think it resembles the original 50th anniversary Kermit, and I like that.

I have a December 22 Kermit, so a MK1.

Haven’t seen the new one in the flesh so can’t say for sure but I like my one.

There is no matte dial. Even if it looks like that on the official Rolex pictures.

From what I've seen, the new bezel can look as dark as the old bezel in the photo above. The difference is that in sunlight, the MK1 will look plasticky and flat, whereas the MK2 will appear vibrant and colorful.

sub wearer here. i like all colors of sub bezel - black, green, blue, faded colors of older aluminium bezels, "fantasy" colors of artisan-made aluminum bezels for older subs... i noticed long time ago colors is a game in its own right among sub / gmt fans - and its great.

Old for me. I like the deeper shade of green against the jet black dial. The new one does look good but I'm very happy with my April 2022 LV.

Interesting.

I prefer the warmer hue of the new LV. So New LV for me, assuming no matte dial.
