My fave thing about the sides of this watch are how sexy and curved they are. Way better than the maxi cases of the subs and GMT’s. reminds me of the hips of a 911.

A series of pics taken of my blue face 126622 showing how the dial changes. All on one escalator.

My Favorite has always been the GMT. It was a natural since I was a Aviator. Retired now I have no reason to have a second time zone. I have owned at least 8 GMTs over my life. So I went to the Sub next which was less complicated. A few weeks back I whacked the top left lug of my Sub moving my Mom from Skilled nursing to Assisted living 1300 miles away so she can be near me. I should have never worn the watch while doing the moving.

So I get back to Central Florida and figured I would go see David to see if he could send my watch in and have it cleaned up. Then I started looking at all his watches and found the YM very interesting. Ten years ago I wore a Grand Seiko for 5 years that had a rounded case much like the YM which I really liked. But being a Rolex snob I always come back to the Brand.

So at Davids yesterday I looked at the Stainless and 2 toned version. David could have sent my Sub out for me but he gave me a price that was good enough to make the trade and add some cash for the Stainless YM. I have to say I am really impressed with the Yachtmaster so far. Hard to stop looking at it and dont know why I never considered it before now.

Hi Jim, Congrats on the YM; I too love that version. Hmm, seems like a good time to swap it onto my wrist and give the TT Daytona a break!!! Are you still wearing your Ball? Also, FWIW, the Platinum YM was the first Rolex I fell in love with but never got one. The Rhodium was what I ended up with about a year or so ago.

Congratulations, great to see you selected the YM after such a wonderful watch history.
I have the Blue dial and it is my favorite among a few others I have.
Enjoy that beauty.

Thanks guys.............. Hi Lee; unfortunately my Ball Marvellight is in the box and doesnt get any wrist time these days. It had about a year run or so before the novelty wore off for me. Thats the part of being a Rolex snob and always coming back to the brand. I recently gave my youngest son a 1959ish refurbed Omega Seamaster that was my grandfathers. I spent about a grand getting it to like new since it was a sentimental thing. I plan on giving my oldest son the Marvellight the next time I see him to keep them even. I just have the 2 Rolexs that I alternate with now.

I don't remember if I put this blog post here that I wrote about my friend's Yacht-Master. Initially I didn't like the watch but when I saw it in the flesh I was quite impressed.
