Omega First in Space
Thinking about buying an First in Space edition Speedy. Like the one below. Thought? Never owned an Omega but like the looks of this one and seems to be the right size.

I had this “problem” 2 months ago as I was choosing between the classic moon watch and the FOIS, and ultimately went with the classic for 2 reasons, I could not get past the different hands on the subdials, and if I was only going to have 1 moon watch wanted the classic with the hesilite. My wrists are small and so considered the FOIS but once I tried the classic speedy on, there was no issue.
The FOIS also appears more dressy to me, which is not a problem but for me I associate it with a tool watch and the classic appears to check that box more than the FOIS. |

I went back and forth for a while between the FOIS and MOTM. I went with MOTM for 2 reasons .. Hesalite and 20mm lugs.
Keep in mind the FOIS and MOTM has same dial, bezel and case dimensions ... the only difference is MOTM has crown guard.

What I like about FOIS in that lack of crown guard, which in turn would make winding easier. And also its limited, which you ultimately would see less of them out in the wild.
But I went with Speedy Pro Hesalite because .. + bracelet option available + polish my own crystal + easy to read all hands (polished hands will disappear in some light reflection)

My dilemma is below... as discussed on another forum. The FOIS looks awesome.

Also, you can order a bracelet for the FOIS. |
