One and only Breitling
Had the Navi 01 LE, but found the 43mm to wear a little small for my taste so I sold. FYI, I have 7" flat wrists, 6'4" and 220 lbs. Looking to add a Breitling back to the collection, which is currently listed in signature below. Between the Navi 1 46mm (ultimately placing on ss mesh bracelet) and the limited boutique edition ss Chronoliner, which I also would place on ss mesh bracelet. Both have in-house movements, 46mm, will have the same bracelet, etc... Navi has more history, but the Chronoliner is limited. Not sure how I would like that one sub dial being larger than the others on the Chronoliner? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Also, does anyone know the reason for dial text differences on the Navi 1? I prefer the larger text with 3 lines below "B". I've noticed some only have 2 lines of smaller text? On Breitling's website, the same watch dial text changes while selecting strap options? |

I would recommend going for a Navitimer (pre-owned). They are a classic watch, more desirable than a Chronoliner and will hold its value better if you ever decide to move it. I recently purchased a pre-owned Montbrillant Legende in 46mm and I love it. The watch wears great and nobody does a fully polished bracelet like Breitling. I had a Bentley GT a few years ago and missed having a Breitling in my watch collection. Glad to have one back and the Navitimer dial is a thing of beauty.

If one were to buy one Breitling, I think the classic steel Navitimer 1 B01 is the one to go with. The 46mm is too large for my 6.7" wrist and so I'm considering the 43mm version but for you the 46mm seems to be perfect and the bracelet is oh so comfortable and gorgeous.
As for the Chronoliner, I don't really like it, especially with the one slightly larger 3 o'clock subdial, which just looks strange to me. I would personally opt for the Super Ocean Heritage II Chronograph instead. Don't let the "limited edition" aspect of the Chronoliner influence your choice, as there are a lot of non limited edition watches that are produced in far fewer numbers. |

The Navi is a great option for only one Breitling but I do like my Superocean Heritage Chrono II.

Excellent. Thanks. The smaller two line text under the "B" didn't look right? I think too small and not proportioned. Glad to hear they are going with larger three line text under the "B". That's the one I want. The two line text was very short lived then. Thanks again.

I would generally say Navi all day but I’m not going to lie that Chronoliner looks awesome.

This one is actually the 43mm LE. I also owned the 46mm Navitimer and that one looked good too. I just like the 43mm size better but I don’t think you can go wrong with either size as long as you wrist can pull it off.

Chronomat 41 (B01)
While I have 6 Breitlings right now if I had to name a "one and only" this one should it be: with 41 mm it suits perfectly my 6.7" wrist, no need to go larger. (My two cents only.) Hope this helps. Good luck!

Depends on wrist size/shape and body build. I've tried on both the 43 and 46...both seem to wear smaller than what they are spec'd at. Plus pilot watches should be a little larger others.

My preference for the smaller size has more to do with the original Navi being 41mm, and so 43 is far more inline with the heritage. But historically you are right on, I think the original iwc pilot watches were like 48mm! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you like the Chronoliner here is one that has recently been reduced!
