I saw an add for this watch in a magazine. Anyone ever seen one?

The article points out the controversy about owning one and wearing one very well. It makes a valid point about many Americans would not wear a watch made out of the remains of the Twin Towers as people died there. Yet it says 1,000 watches have been ordered so someone is interested in owning a piece of the macabre. They make them up to the double tourbillon which has no hands or markers and does not tell time down to the lowly watch. I think they are ghastly but to each their own.

I like the rusted-looking ones more than the one pictured in the article.

Actually, I have seen commemorative stuff for 9-11 that claims to have precious metals that were recovered from vaults near ground zero...

Regardless, I don't see much allure of owning metal from either the towers or from the Titanic. If you want rusted bits there are countless sources. Heck, all the ship busting being done in India... these watchmakers could help clean up the mess they're making over there by using some of those materials instead.
