Only 3.5 grams? Are you nuts?

That would be the weight of just ONE LINK!!!

The entire watch should be close to 120 grams or thereabouts!!

It's possible you meant ounces. 3.5 oz = 100 g. Yes JJ, less than your jubilee.

That's a mechanical scale meant to weigh kitchen stuff like flour, sugar, etc. Very inaccurate for weighing a watch.

You need to weigh it on an ELECTRONIC scale..........so bring it over to my butcher's!! I'll make sure you get some free Pastrami!!

First off he's using a standard mechanical kitchen scale - good enough for food stuff, etc. - but no good for the kinda accuracy we require.

He needs an electronic scale with a digital read-out.

Don't say that Master Tosser,

my scale was made before they invented electricity and it gets as close as half a gram.

Hey Leo,

That scale brings back fond memories when I was doing my Bachelor's in Chemistry.

We didn't have electronic scales way back in the '60s, but those ones above proved pretty accurate.

Of course, we also used the standard centre fulcrum pan scales which swivelled on knife-edges and could weigh upto 1 milligram!! They had a pan on either side and were very accurate.

JJ
