I would be honoured to have him drive my car..and if he crashed it.. I could probably get him to replace it. He's got the coin.

That's precisely the problem, a lack of concern to preserve the original. Reminds me of many 'restored' Ferrari cars. I applaud Sandra McNeil for her racing the world's only non restored GTO. Same prep shop worked on my Fcar.

And that'll make for more entertainment.

Do we know what the VER 'telemetry' showed?

What was the point of the extra 10 sec penalty, if it leaves the offending driver in the exact same position??
Earlier, an answer to your first question was posted but prolly got lost in the spate of replies…quoting him below:

On the second question, the Stewards have a range of penalties for standard violations. Causing a collision is 10sec. + 2 points. Had the conditions been different (like one car couldn’t continue, or a change in position) perhaps it would’ve been harsher.

Oftentimes people complain about Stewards meddling with finish positions after a race. Since nobody lost anything more than an end plate, why change finishing order?

Yes I read that and 2.4g is not just ‘changing down through the gears’.

Exactly. There's the only thing that could eventually stop VER from taking out HAM. But I'm 90% sure that he will do it nonetheless.

Thanks Paul, No I hadn't noticed that.

Still doesn't seem a stiff enough penalty for 'dangerous driving'. LH could have quite easily torpedoed VER, with who knows what consequences.
