How does a white dialed Panerai ( e.g. 1314 ) fit into your collection?

Hi Everyone,

My AD, finally, has a PAM 1314 available. I purchased my first Panerai, a 915, at the beginning of summer and am still in love with the watch.

For those that own the 1314 or other white-dialed PAM, when does it gain wrist time compared to your other watches? How are you using it? If you own another PAM, do they "compete" with each other or do you think of them separately.

Complicating things: I try not to buy "watch on watch" - as I love the post-purchase buzz. I've been wanting an SD43 and I think my AD is getting close.

Thoughts? Advice on the white faced Panerai in your collection? Is it a great expansion or kind of an add-on?

I happen to like the white dial models & I would purchase one myself but want to keep the small rotation to one white dial watch and the 116520 is it.

For me it's a little harder to answer as I have a lot of watches. But I like a bit out of the norm and the 1314 definitely fits that.

There has only been a handful of white dial Panerai's so when the 1314 came out I knew I wanted it. It definitely getswrist time; lately on the green rubber strap, it's that casual summer thing. With the fall upon us and winter coming I will switch to the leather band for those jeans and sweater days.

If you can add it, why not. I'm sure you will be happy that you did.

I really like my 049. Tends to be a bit of a summer watch for me and I wear it mostly on a blue RubberB.

White PAM's are hard to sell once you get tired of it

Like every other watch, if it fits your taste and style, go for it. I have a white dial 1523, blue 731, black 682 and a 424. I enjoy them all and white is a ‘casual’ look on the wrist so it works for me.

That's true. But the easy fix is .. don't sell it.

Learn from me. Sold my 114, now I missed it. :(

My wife loves it. I sometimes use it during the fun days. Suitable for most strap colours. Something different from the run of mill dark coloured dials.

My 1523 is versatile and can match either my wardrobe or look. The quick change straps make it great and I’m covered with the rubber black and blue and leather gray and natural.
Can add more colors as you want. Can’t go wrong with a white dial.
I have a 731 with blue dial, 682 black dial and 424 black/brown so I’m covered !!

Personally doesn't do it for me, but that's the nice thing about Panerai - lots of variation and we can all have different elements we like and still enjoy the same overall appeal. My collection includes a massive green faced 997, which is not for everyone (and I don't even wear it that much) but I have fun with it.

White dial Panerai are not for me. But as a high contrast easy to read watch they can’t be beat.

Also thought that white dial PAMs are not for me. Until I tried the 602. So special
